So excited for your adventure! I've traveled almost all of the U.S. by car, albeit by myself. I can also relate to your Bay Area experience. I miss the west coast cities for this reason- Florida is not safe for trans people (for the most part), unfortunately.
Thank you, Anastasia! Yes, it is frustrating and scary how unsafe Florida can be for trans and gender non-conforming people. California is good in that regard! :)
I’m looking forward to following your adventures and reading your work. The mask thing is so strange in the US. In much of Asia, wearing a mask is very common and is just a normal, nonpolitical part of life.
California is beautiful. I lived in southern California 25 years and Northern California 35 years. Climbed many mountain peaks. Now I'm in Tulsa which is the nicest part of Oklahoma and people in Oklahoma are really friendly, but when you wear a mask you get a smirk sometimes. I know the feeling . Have a great trip! Rey!

Welcome to the Bay Area, Rey! I am glad to hear that you are feeling more comfortable here.🤗
Thanks very much, Asmita! I do like the bay area quite a bit! I used to live here so it feels a bit like coming home.
