That connection we don't always get online. Sometimes a friend comes to me and says, I have a problem. Can I talk through it with you? I often say yes. I'm so impressed that someone wants to talk through a problem. That shows trust.
Email is archaic, social media is a bad corporate joke. The only thing left to do is meet face to face whenever possible, talk to people, be comfortable with solitude, and travel to places where people have more humanity/are less alienated by all these things (basically anywhere in the poor/so called "undeveloped" world--my current joy is Mexico).

I think all our reliance on virtual conversations these days makes it clear there is a ton of value in face to face meetings, like you said.
